A Bigger Bit of Flowery Goodness

Last week I showed you some of the attempts at flower-growing I've done this year. Today I shall show you the gorgeous flowers Ryan and I love to enjoy as often as we can.

Indiana Wesleyan has beautiful landscaping, and now and then, we're able to take an evening stroll through campus, enjoying the beauty that someone else has worked hard to design and maintain. I really appreciate their grounds crew, because I know they work hard and have never ending tasks of watering, weeding, and feeding! Check out some of the gorgeous sights:

Love this little tiered planter. I'll have to come back later in the summer and see if the flowers have spilled over more! I'm pretty sure they eventually cover the pots entirely.
Of course...I had to take pictures of the purple flowers!!
I'm such a sucker for roses.
 Lining the streets....
 More purple...
What are these flowers? {The ones above.} Anybody know?
I'm sure I didn't take more pictures of purple flowers.
It's not a flower, but I do love enjoying the fountain any time we walk through the center of campus.
Tried out the sports setting on my camera - and now I have about 12 pictures of the fountain!! :) Love the way they turned out.
Also not a flower...but this is Ryan's favorite building on campus. It's the Administration building - the oldest building left...and full of character.

Isn't it all so beautiful? No wonder we love taking walks!

Beautiful! Those flowers are Zinnias. I save some of my favorite "dried" flower heads from year to year so I can replant them!

I love the tiered planter. I wonder if one of those would look too big in our yard?!?! I think I need to go check out some professional gardens now... :)
