40 Months

We had no idea, in March, when we posed in front of the mountain of boxes in our Marion house, that we were celebrating our final monthiversary in that house. We thought we had one more there, but we thought wrong, and that's just fine!

This past Saturday, we hit 40 months of marriage. Pretty sure we had no clue, 40 months ago on the beach, that we'd be moving to a house that neither of us can quite get over in terms of the blessing it is. Not that our other houses weren't blessings. They certainly were. But we never dreamed we'd have a house so NEW! {There is a marked difference between living in century-old houses and then moving into something from this century!

Originally Ryan was scheduled to work on Saturday, but then he ended up with the day off, and we spent most of our monthiversary with the cable and internet man who came to do installation here at Shafferland 2.0.

We also started a little project that I'm really excited to show you when it's done {which at this rate, won't be for a while!} because it is so cool. It is Pinterest-inspired, actually. A stone finish on a wall! I'll give you all the details in another post when it's done, but here we are, working together on our wall...our happy monthiversary date!

{We had ordered two boxes of the stone, per the square footage calculator on the product site. According to that, two boxes should have been more than enough. Let's just say we've ordered four more boxes and we HOPE that will be enough. Clearly something is off in the calculator.}

We needed to run some errands that night, and before we went, we took the quickest, most unplanned tripod timer picture, and according to Facebook, this goes down as one of our best pictures ever.

Do you think this one would have gotten the same level of love?

Yeah. Didn't think so. LOL!

Our anniversary treat was a run through Starbucks for some latte love!

40 of the most beautiful months of my life are represented in these pictures. Even if the day was spent doing projects with bedhead, there's no other place on the planet I would rather have been than with the man who makes me laugh and keeps me safe, heart and soul. I love you, Ryan! :)
