You're almost to the end of the cruise, I promise!! Thanks so much for hanging in here with me!
Thursday was our second day at sea...
And we started off with breakfast at the Blue Iguana - one of the little restaurants on the ship that gave brand new size and meaning to breakfast burrito.
Mine was smaller. And no, I did not eat all of it. :)
We fought for one of the coveted cabanas on the adults only deck {1300 children on board, remember?} and I wrote while Ryan played games on his phone.
And we made you a video:
And then we participated in the digital scavenger hunt. There were only five groups who showed up to do it and we had a long list of things to find in TWENTY MINUTES. Ryan took off running and I was limping along behind, gasping for air, with people staring at me. Thank goodness I won't see them again!!
Here are some of the {unedited} pics from our hunt:
Towel animals in a room....
Ride in a glass elevator:
Dancing in a club:
Three of the five groups made it back in time, but we did not win. {Exceeding sadness for Ryan.} But we had fun and burned a few calories in the process, so that was good!!
We visited the photo deck to choose pictures from the ship photographers. Asking me to choose between photos is like asking a mom to keep just a few of her kids. Are you KIDDING ME?? My thoughts post-choosing:
We also watched an ice carving demonstration:
It was a fish! The ice block was 600 pounds when he started and 400 pounds when he finished!
We even made it onto the jumbotron!
And after a day of fun and relaxation, we got all dressed up for formal night number two:
My first time with a one-shoulder dress, which I bought just for the occasion. {Ten bucks at Cato, actually!!!}
And then we headed to dinner! Broccoli cheddar soup for Ryan and fruit cocktail for me:
Jumbo Tiger Shrimp for me {one of my least favorite entrees of the trip, though I do love shrimp}!
And Mahi Mahi for Ryan. He asked me to try it {I hate fish} - and I did. I still hate fish.
And for dessert - I was so so so so so excited to try Baked Alaska. It wasn't my favorite dessert ever in life but I'm so glad to say I've had it!
And then after dinner, we went back to the comedy club to hear the other comedian on the ship.
And then back to our room....to be greeted by a sting ray!
