Celebration of God's Faithfulness

Y'all know my friend, Faith. I've talked about her on here many times before. We met in college, because she'd gone to high school with my roommate. We all ended up living in a campus apartment together our last two years, and then she stayed here after college. That was when we really became good friends. We were the only two from our college group of friends who stayed. We both loved to scrap. So we had many, scrapping dates and ended up becoming better friends than we even expected!

This past year has been really tough for Faith. I don't want to say too much because it's not my story to tell, but she has been through it this year. And I have to tell you, from my seat, I think she's done a great job. She's kept her chin up when I'm not sure I could have done so. She's handled each turn with great determination and has purposed to find God's hand at work in her circumstances. I'm really proud of her.

Last Thursday, she threw a little party to celebrate God's faithfulness and goodness to her over this past year. The day marked a pivotal turn in her life and I thought it was a fantastic idea to have a party. I was so excited to be part of her night.

She had a little cookout. The smoke was apparently very thick...so Pastor Steve solved that problem with his sweater. The headless hot dog roaster!!

I had a chance to make a S'more. Oh y'all. How I love a s'more.

Yeah, the fire got a little intense. This is why God made garden hoses.

Faith 'n' me. We're frequently mistaken for sisters and I'm proud to say I'd be counted as her sister any day of the week!

God is good and faithful! He's been there for these two almost-sisters in a big way this year!
