Dreams and Goals for March 2020
As you'll see tomorrow when I talk about my germ-infested February, the hitting of all goals...*ahem*...failed a bit for this past month. I didn't fail at everything, but I sure didn't create as much of a success story as I did in January.
But March is a new month, and I have high hopes, people! High hopes! May I share?
* Stay well. Seems obvious, right? But I didn't set it as a specific goal in February, and look what happened!! So heading my list of goals for this month is to STAY WELL.
* Finish details for the women's retreat in March. I'm speaking at a women's retreat in March, and while I have my talks written and ready, I need to do some final work on the event. I have some props to purchase, a Power Point to update, and I want to make sure I have the material committed to mind! And - of course - prayer! Lots and lots of prayer!
* Archive three more months of blog posts. For the last two months, I've set a goal of archiving two months, and I've barely achieved that. This time I want to up my game and see if I can do more! Sometimes I don't overachieve enough. (And sometimes I need to KNOCK IT OFF with the overachieving.)
* Finish the guest bathroom overhaul. We started it in earnest last night, and Ryan has a goal of completing it in two weeks. I believe it can be done, but I also believe we're the Shaffers, and renovation surprises hit us WAY too often. So I'll set the goal for the end of the month. I will say I think it's going to look amazing, and I can't wait to see our vision take shape.
* Finish my 40th birthday scrapbook. How is it EVEN possible that I don't have this one done? I have the party part done, but I got clear to the actual birthday and never finished it. One good day or two good evenings, and I can knock this one out. I'm sure of it. I also want to try to keep up on my regular chronological book. I've kept up with it so far this year. Don't want to lose momentum!
* Enjoy two more at-home dates. I had planned for us to have two at-home dates in February, but between sickness and being away from home, we technically haven't done any so far in February. I do have one planned for tomorrow night, though, so we'll get at least one in before the month is over. Hopefully in March, we can get back on track with two special dates in our home!
* Finish well with my temp job. I only have a couple of weeks left in my temp job! How is it possible that I've been working at the church for ten whole weeks now? (I'm sure Abagail is thinking the same thing about her beloved maternity leave! How could it be almost over?) I'm working hard to make sure everything is organized and in order for Abagail's return, and in many ways, the decisions I make now are made fully with her in mind. But I still want to finish well and do a great job with the tasks entrusted to me.
I think that should keep me busy for a month...don't you?
