We're in the final stretch before Christmas Day! Our Christmas celebrations have already been shaken up a bit this year because of illness in some of the gatherings (pushing us to postpone) and now we wait to see if weather takes over where illness left off!
This year has been a little on the different side for us in terms of our traditions. We've had life-things that must be tended to in this moment, so we have not been able to do some of our favorite things - at least yet.
But even though the year has looked a little different, it's been no less merry and marvelous. We have thoroughly enjoyed the time we've been able to sit in front of our pretty trees, enjoying the glow of the lights. We've gotten together with some friends, wrapped gifts, and sent out some cards! I thought I'd share our card here with you today! :) Consider it a mailing from Shafferland.

Nice new picture!! We are with you on some celebrations needing to be postponed or canceled and now there are weather and health concerns for our family Christmas on Sat. Our son's birthday was yesterday and he woke up with a bad cold. Anyway, all of this is just life here on earth and it is not going to stop us from enjoying the many gifts God has given us. We are blessed beyond measure and are excited to celebrate His birth no matter what our circumstances may be. JOY TO THE WORLD, the Lord has come!! Merry Christmas from our home to yours! We love you both and thank you for all the special blog posts!! :)
That is an amazing picture!!! Merry Christmas!!!
Merry Christmas! We are flying to Washington DC today to spend Christmas with our youngest daughter and her husband. And our oldest daughter is due to have her baby anytime. She will be induced on Christmas Eve if baby doesn’t arrive before then. We are truly blessed and owe it all to the Grace of God. We have had a good year and look forward to the year ahead with two new grand babies. Our youngest daughter is due in April. Thank you for sharing your life with us. I pray for a blessed new year for you as you begin your 11th year as a married couple. We will celebrate 35 years in September. God is good all the time. You are loved. Charlie and Gerri.
Hope your plans pan out!!
Lexi is the star of that card!!!
