Rest and Fun

 

Thursday, December 1, was our last "free" day in Florida. The 2nd was our anniversary, so the day was full of celebration, and we drove home on the 3rd. 

We tried to strike a good balance of rest and fun on our last free day. It was a beautiful day, so we appreciated that!

We did some laundry and cleaned up a little around the condo so we wouldn't have so much to do the next day. (Who wants to clean on their anniversary?)

We still hadn't found a souvenir ornament for the trip, so we went out for that (and found one!) and then we stopped at Smallcakes to get cupcakes for our anniversary. So many choices!

We had leftovers for lunch and then took naps. We walked to a coffee shop for coffee and then went to the beach to see if Dan was working on another sand sculpture. He was, and he had a friend hanging out with him! Her name was Wendi, and she's a Realtor down in that area. She ended up talking to us for a long time and even asking if she could take some pictures for us. We were probably there for well over an hour, talking to them and watching Dan work! (We almost missed the sunset because we were talking.)

SUCH fun!! We went back to the Airbnb, had Chinese takeout for dinner and rested up for...OUR ANNIVERSARY!!!!
