Yesterday, we celebrated 39 months of marriage! And yes, still celebrating.
According to Facebook, three years ago yesterday, we celebrated our monthiversary by scraping wallpaper border at Ryan's Greentown house, and then we went shopping for all the supplies for our reception. I'm kind of glad we're not scraping border or planning for a reception right now! {As fun as those things were...}
Yesterday was a little more low key. Ryan worked, of course, but even in working, he makes things fun. We usually FaceTime at lunch, and this was his entertainment for me yesterday:
Why yes! That is a pretzel nose ring!
I'm not really sure why he didn't lead with this look when he asked me out for the first time.
Ahhh, but this is what I love about him. {One of many things.} He always, always makes me laugh.
{Gymnastics with the dining room table...}
{Podcasting...or is it pod-cat-sing?}
{Date night fun...}
{Shopping...}
{Opening presents...}
Truly never a dull moment around here. Ever.
He makes me laugh and he loves me well. 39 months ago was a yes that changed my life in a wonderful way.
Yesterday he surprised me with these:
They are stunning.
And we used a gift card for a fun coffee date:
Coffee and dreaming. Now that's a good 39 month date.
Thanks for making me laugh and feel special for 39 months, Ryan. I love you!!!

Happy Monthiversary! Lookin' good...
Just listened to the podcast from this week...Oh My Goodness!!! I am dying over here! I know I've said it multiple times, but SO SO funny!!! I look forward to it every week. And I loved the end when you talked about your pastor's sermon on waiting. Would you mind sharing your church's website or where we could listen to past sermons? And do you know Greg Long's song, In The Waiting....LOVE that song!! This conversation made me think remember it and want to listen to it again and have a good cry! :) (Sorry for all the exclamations!! HA!)
Tamar - Thanks!!
Shari - isn't that the truth!?!?!
Anonymous - Thank you so much! :)
Tia - Thank you for ALL the kind words. I'm glad we could crack you up again! The church's site is collegewes.com - and if you go to media resources and then sermon series, you can find the different series to pick from. What Are You Waiting For was the advent series. Sheep to Shepherd was the one we just finished and Way of Fools is our current one. I've not heard the Greg Long song, but I do like him so I'll look it up!! :)
Polly - Thank you!!! I'm ready for snow to go away before my flowers that have started to come up die!!
Maria - Thank you!! :)
Those flowers are GORGEOUS and that picture of Ryan in the tub is HILARIOUS!!! Thanks for an excellent blog post :) And a very happy and very belated 39 monthiversary.
