Tuesday Tales: Celebrating 166 Months

Ryan and I had a fun weekend celebrating our relationship! It started on Friday, when we celebrated our 166th monthiversary! Though the day started out on the rainy side, it cleared up in time for our evening plans. I was glad, since they were outside!

                Official monthiversary photo:

Our destination was Dougherty Orchards down near Richmond. We went there a couple of years ago for a free concert and some fall desserts, and we liked it so much, we wanted to go back.

We didn’t remember this flower garden from the last time, but we enjoyed walking through the few blooms that were left.

I got an apple dumpling with ice cream because it’s one of my favorite fall desserts ever.

                Ryan chose apple donuts.

We found a table to the side of the concert pavilion and settled in. (I brought my blanket and used it!)

The people who sang were, I’m pretty sure, the same people who sang two years ago when we were there. They sing country, which isn’t my first music love, but they were good and it was fun.

We may have had a little too much fun while we listened…

Ryan grabbed this picture of the sunset, which was so pretty!

We made it home safely, though we did get a little closer to some deer than I liked. I am so scared we are going to mess up our car again!

It was such a fun night. I’m so glad we went!

We discovered a Dougherty apple orchard on the west side of Marion a few years ago. It's smaller than the one you visited in Richmond. I don't think they are related.
