Updates on Dreams and Goals for March 2024

Here we are, closing in on the very end of March, and I wanted to give an update on the goals I made for the month!

ONE. Decorate the house for spring. This is done – and I shared about it here, if you missed it. I very much love the way it turned out and feel like the whole space looks and feels fresh and light and clean. That’s what I need for spring! I plan to, at the start of April, take down the things that are Easter-specific and leave the rest for the remainder of spring!

TWO. Prep for more speaking. As you read about here, I spoke at three events in March, and I took a vacation day to prepare for more further down the road. Natasha commented that my calendar is fuller this year than in recent years, and it is so true! My April and May are full to capacity, and then come summer, I have a recurring commitment with church. I am grateful for each opportunity and take them all as a great responsibility!

THREE. Try my hand at a little hospitality adventure. I shared about my hospitality basket fun in this post. I really loved this unique project and am glad I said yes to it!

FOUR. Figure out and shop for my spring capsule wardrobe. I have all but three (I think) items from my proposed spring capsule wardrobe. I had fun assembling it from a mix of what I already owned and from things I found at thrift and consignment stores. I have also thoroughly enjoyed wearing it! It’s been fun to have a different mix of pieces and colors each day. As soon as I finish the last three missing pieces, I’ll share what I have put together!

BONUS:

Much more happened this month than those three things! Some are stories for a bit down the road, but here are some glimpses into other things we did in March.

·         Ryan and I are deacons in our church now, and this month brought about some extra responsibilities for that, because it’s Easter month! We wrote and sent out some letters of introduction/encouragement to people in the church, I helped make bread for Holy Week communion, and we are helping with some of the services for this week.

·         I “finished” the living room wall, which I told you about earlier in the month. I’ll still be making tweaks, but I’m calling the project done.

·         I planned our Easter lunch, which I’m super excited about.

·         We went on a couple of dates that were so sweet and low-key: much needed for this busy month.

Ryan served on the worship team at church and helped me with my speaking events. I love watching him serve in his element!

·         We took our godson out for his birthday and had a really wonderful time celebrating with him!

·         The weather was not that great overall this month, so our ability to get outside for regular walks was hampered, but we are really thankful for safety in the literal storms that did a lot of destruction not too far from us.

There was also some napping involved. I’m sure you can imagine why…
