Rocking and Rolling...

...literally.

The first two days at sea were ROUGH! Even Ryan felt seasick, and he never does. In happy news, the storms we sailed through didn't keep us from getting to our first port on time, and because we were at sea for almost three straight days, we didn't have anything we had to do. We could rest as much as we wanted. And we did!

We studied our Bibles...

We hung out on the balcony (when it wasn't raining)...
We tried to go to the gym, but it was packed. (Seriously...30ish treadmills in there and every single one was full.)
So we just napped...and napped...and napped.

By evening, the rocking and rolling of the boat had let up, so we got all gussied up for a fancy dinner:
(This was this year's Easter dress...I just wore it an evening early.)

We had fun at dinner!

And the next day was Easter! I'd gotten a special shirt just for Easter on the ship:
We were pleasantly surprised to discover the ship had a non-denominational Easter service at 8:30 in the morning. We were even MORE pleasantly surprised to find it utterly packed. They held the service in the room that is normally the comedy club, and we guessed it probably held a couple hundred people. Even that early in the morning, there was standing room only!

If you heard the podcast, you heard our stories of this being an *interesting* service, but we remained thankful they had it at all!
Sunday was another at-sea day, and it turned out to be sunny...finally! The cruise director joked that they ordered the weather from Amazon and it took two days to get there. Ha! Pretty true.

Ryan wanted to play on the sports deck, so he started out with some ropes course fun. I stayed safely on the deck of the ship, behind the camera.
We played mini-golf, and SOMEONE got a hole in one! (I'll let you guess who.)

(Side note: some random little girl was playing near us and when Ryan blew the ball into the hole, she piped up, "YOU CAN'T DO THAT!!!!")

We also played life-sized checkers. I lost. But by a smaller margin than the last time he taught me to play checkers. (Slow learner.)

We visited the thermal spa that day, too. We hung out on the heated chaise lounges. Ahhhhhh yes.

Pretty sure there were also more naps. Oh! Yes! There it is.
We got all dressed up for dinner, but alas, the boat had started rocking again and we didn't feel like eating in the dining room. We hit the buffet instead.

All in all? A great (and restful!) couple of days.

The Easter dress and t-shirts were great adds to your wardrobe. I think Ryan is planning to go for a run at the "American Ninja Warrior" title...the ropes course was just the beginning!! Happy birthday to Ryan, happy travels to you both as it seems as though a good time was had by all (I mean both of you). Lois
