Our last day of our cruise was a sea day, bringing us home from the Dominican Republic. It was a wonderful, restful way to end our trip!
Ryan got up early to take one more round of sunrise pictures. The final picture in this set was his attempt at a panoramic on his phone. Something went wrong. He said it looks like a tsunami.
We had one last ginormous breakfast burrito. (We split it.)
We also observed that our cabin largely resembles our home:
It was a beautiful day and probably the least windy of any of them, so we enjoyed a couple miles on the track:
And then Ryan wanted to get in the pool for a bit. We will say this about the Sunshine ship. We actually enjoyed the layout of the ship more than most people seem to (according to reviews) but it was odd to see how small the pools were. They only had one pool that was available to kids and it wasn't very big. There was a really pretty round pool with a waterfall on the adult deck, so that's the one we used. Early in the day it wasn't too busy. (Ryan had fun with the waterfall photography.)
There were more naps...
There were great meals in workout shirts...HA!!!
In the afternoon, we went to a Q&A session with the cruise director and some other staff. Learned some fascinating stuff!
We also went to a trivia game. I played. I did NOT do well. It was unamusing.
Ryan had earned a free coffee drink for being a frequent cruiser, so he got that and then we went back to our room to pack. Sigh of sadness.
And that's how we wrapped up our days on the ship.

Days at sea are so fun and relaxing!
It sounds like Ryan made a good call with his request for a 40th birthday celebratory cruise! You probably said this in an earlier post but did the staff do anything special for Ryan on his actual birthday?
Tamar - And much more so when it isn't stormy and we didn't feel sick!
Maria - Yes and no! :) We ordered a birthday package, so we get a cake delivered to our room and our steward decorated and left some gifts. Ryan also got some coupons for the spa and the picture gallery. The only thing he didn't get that made me sad was a happy birthday song in the dining room. The table staff sang to others, and you could tell by some of the table reactions that the family hadn't reported the events, so I figured the files were marked. But no one ever sang to him!
