The Saturday Six

One.

Posts like this make me believe that I could make little greenery arrangements at our house, too! (I might not be right, but it's fun to believe I could.) I do actually own the white pot she features in her tutorial! We have aloe in ours!

Two.

So the other day I got this hankerin' for hot chocolate, but when I went for the trusty can of whipped cream in the fridge - it was no good! It felt full but it wouldn't come out! How sad is that? While I dearly love the convenience of canned whipped cream, I am sure it is full of all manner of preservatives and bad things. So this recipe intrigues me. I've never had a maple whipped cream, but it sounds good, don't you think?

Three.

A couple of years before Nita died, she gifted me a bunch of her old Christmas decor. It wasn't part of my present or anything; she was just cleaning out and found some things she thought I'd like. Among them were some oversized jingle bells, similar to what you see in this post. Mine are already vintage looking, so I don't need the tutorial on how to do that, but I do love this idea of how to display them! That's the part I've never mastered!

Four.

When I was in junior high and high school, big metal barrettes were all the rage. I haven't worn hair decorations in years, but it seems like they have come a long way since the 90s. I really like some of the ideas in this post!

Five.

I don't know if you get these too - but my hair always falls flat in the back right up near the crown.. I get this part that just shows up back there, and it definitely gets worse after I've slept on it. I found this quick tutorial on how to help with that, and I think I'm going to give it a try. (I like it that I already own all the stuff for this one - no extra serums or gels to buy!)

Six.

I was looking for a dress to wear to the fundraiser banquet this winter, and I gotta tell you: this one sold me on the words "puffed sleeves." Hello, Anne of Green Gables! (Ryan, if you're reading this, when I say "sold," I don't actually mean I bought it. I just mean I love it. LOL!) I'm not really a puffed sleeves girl, but this is subtle puff, I think.
