The Saturday Six

One.

I grew up in the age of the True Love Waits movement, and I went to the rallies and heard all the sermons about the importance of staying a virgin...but back then, no one preached about the importance of PURITY. And they are not the same, virginity and purity. I think Brittany hit it in this post - so if you are single...or know someone who is...please, please teach them this!!

Two.

I read this on Pinterest, but I decided to tell you before the "Pinteresting July" post. Ryan and I LOVE to eat at Red Robin, but their burgers are SO HUGE - and with all the bottomless fries, I usually end up eating about 2 bites of burger. I always bring the leftovers home, but burgers don't do "leftover" as well as other stuff. ANYWAY. I read that you can ask for a "petite" burger, so last time I went, we tried it. Petite, to me, is a slider. Petite, to Red Robin, is the size of a normal burger. {Think the difference between a Whopper and a Whopper Junior. The petite is like a Whopper Junior.} It's not on the menu {that we found, anyway}, but you can ask for it. We both got it and loved it!

Three.

I follow The Honest Toddler on Twitter and he/she CRACKS ME UP. I think I talked about this Twitter feed on the Saturday Six before, but I just found out there's a book. I read the preview online - laughing SO hard, actual tears were streaming down my face. And I'm not even a parent. I bet it's way funnier to parents. And I have to say - I'm on the Toddler's side. Words of truth. And stinkin' funniness.

Four.

I'm such a sap for love stories. Read this article about a couple who got married after each having lost a spouse very early in life - one just a couple of months after marriage. Sob #1. And then I checked out the wife's blog and read through some of her posts as she was working through the loss of her first husband. Raw. Sob #2. But well done.

Five.

Kay Arthur is a well-respected Bible study teacher, and she uses the inductive Bible study method. I learned about it years ago but haven't used it in recent year studies. It's very hands on and sort of crafty looking, which you know, really speaks my love language! LOVED this reminder of how it works and am feeling the itch to start marking up my Bible again!!

Six.

First she got me hooked on yogurt. Then asparagus. Now look what Lynne's served me that has me absolutely in a wrecked heap of love on the floor. Sea salt and caramel. Be. Still. My. Heart.

Thank you so much for sharing, Bekah! I am glad it has been informative and I pray God uses my testimony to help prevent others from making my mistakes.

I've been really curious about that bible study method. I should look into it!

Bek -

Thanks so much for sharing the link about purity vs. virginity. I'm working on my plans for a girls night at church next week where we have "the talk" and this will be a huge help!

I hope it's okay that I'm commenting on the Saturday Six on Tuesday. I'm slowly getting back into the swing of things from my blogging break. Thank you so much for always sharing such interesting and thought-provoking links. I really appreciate being able to read interesting things which I wouldn't have necessarily found on my own.
