Merry Christmas, my friends! Whether your day is packed or laid
back, I hope you have an enjoyable time and a chance to savor some goodness.
Thought I would
share with you today some peeks at our Christmas Eve.
We had church,
which was actually full, but we took our picture there early before everyone filled
the pews.
Ryan sang with
the choir, I filled in for the nursery workers long enough for them to watch
their own kiddos sing in church, and our pastoral staff read the Scripture
during the service.
After church we
came home and rested, took a walk (since it was springlike here) and I made
dessert for one of our gatherings today.
Lexi got her
new car seat Christmas gift and went out with Ryan for a test run. (He said she
did a great job with it!)
After dinner, we watched The Best Christmas Pageant Ever, which is (ironically) one of my favorite Christmas books, but I'd never seen the movie! Mom used to read me that book all the time when I was a kid, and then I read it to Ryan after we got married. The movie did NOT disappoint!
Late last
night, we made our way back to church for the Christmas Eve service, which was
beautiful!
I like it when
Christmas Eve falls on Sunday, because it feels like the perfect preparation
for Christmas Day.
Merry Christmas
from us!

Merry Christmas!
Your church looks beautiful and it seems you had a wonderful time. :) Around here we did some chores that needed to be taken care of and now we are just relaxing and resting. ;)
Merry Christmas, Paula! :)
Sounds like a fantastic way to bring in the special day!
One of my favourite recent Christmas Eve memories is the night my dad read The Best Christmas Pageant Ever out loud to Sam and Rachel. We all loved it!
