When Ryan came home from work Friday night, we headed out to do
some grocery shopping, and we decided to turn it into a date night. We had a
gift card to Red Robin, which happens to be where we ate dinner on our very
first date! We felt a bit on the nostalgic side, so we headed there for dinner.
I’m a huge fan
of Red Robin burgers, so of course the food was delicious, but beyond that, we
had a great time talking, laughing, and reminiscing about those early days of
dating. It was the best night.
Saturday
morning, Ryan cooked breakfast over a fire beside the lake, and he loved it. (I
loved it, too!) We sat outside at the picnic table, with our coffee and breakfast,
enjoying the quietness of the morning.
After breakfast,
we took the kayaks out on the lake and enjoyed a beautiful ride.
The rest of the
day was filled with walks, naps, good talks, cooking from the garden, and rest.
We haven’t had
the chance to sit back and enjoy true lake livin’ too much this summer, but
this weekend was a lovely chance to do just that. I’m thankful for it!

That just sounds so relaxing!!
Happy for you!
You people are living the life!!! That breakfast looks delicious and I love kayaking!
Red Robin is one of my very favorites. I always get the teriyaki burger that has pineapple on it. I need to see if the one I used to go to is still over in Glendale and if not, how far must I travel to get to one? lol
