This week is a no-theme week here on the Six. Enjoy the random!
One.
When Ryan and I lived in Kokomo, we led a small group, and one of the couples in our group became really sweet friends of ours. (Well...they ALL became sweet friends, but this particular section is about one of them.) They have been walking the hard road of infertility lately, and my heart hurts for them! He's a photographer and is donating all the November proceeds of his sales to a ministry that has been helpful to them as a couple during this journey. We actually have one of his art pieces. It hung over our sink at WillowBridge (since our sink looked at a wall and I was trying to make it look like a window) and now it hangs in Ryan's office at Love INC. He has taken some beautiful photos, so I wanted to share the link to his site! (His art can be purchased as regular art - or on things like phone cases and notebooks.)
Two.
Earlier this week, I taught a social media class in Decatur. One of the ladies who took the class runs a local nonprofit in memory of her young daughter, who passed away from cancer. During the class, she was telling us about a huge grant she just received, and then she told us she actually found out she won the grant while she was being interviewed on the Kelly Clarkson Show! I found her segment on YouTube and completely cried while I watched it. This was a sweet moment.
Three.
I am so excited to say that as of this week, his Love INC affiliate has its new website up and running! We have more pieces to add to it, but the framework is done. We had some amazing helpers who got us to this point, because we definitely smacked into the wall that signified the end of our OWN knowledge. Thanks, Chris and Julie, for helping us! I'm excited for Ryan that this is done. It was a huge item on our to-do list to be compliant with the national office's new branding!
Four.
Earlier this week, one of my Facebook friends shared this video of Point of Grace singing All Creatures of Our God and King. I lovvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvved Point of Grace in my college years especially. I mean, I still love them, but I listened to them NONSTOP in college. I wanted to BE in the group. (Never mind that I can't sing!) I love it that they still sing and still sound great. And I hadn't heard this particular rendition, so it was a fun find this week.
Five.
I don't know if you have an Aldi near you, but if you do, you might want to check this out! They're offering some 2019 pricing on Thanksgiving food to try to help make this year a little more affordable. I do love Aldi!!!
Six.
And finally, it is my duty to remind you that the time changes tomorrow. Enjoy a little extra sleep and don't forget to change any clocks that need intervention! :)
