One.
Tamar posted about this on her blog this week, and I immediately put it on my list of places I want to go when we go back to visit Mark and Lynnette in Atlanta next time. A Coca-Cola museum?? YES!!! Take me there! (Fun fact: next to coffee, Coke is my favorite drink, and back in my...ahem...fluffier days, I drank two large gas station Cokes every day. I now allow myself one small Coke every week or two, because I know it's terrible for me, but I won't cut it out completely because I adore it so much.)

One of you asked this week about one of the pieces of Christmas artwork in our house, so I wanted to mention it again! I got it last year and told you a bit about it then, but it's so good that it bears repeating! My friend Brent Vernon, who is often-mentioned on this blog because he has such great music and artistic talent. Here is a link to his shop, and he has all kinds of great gift options on there. Children's books, music, the art print we have in our house, ornaments, and more!
Three.
When I stopped using Lemongrass Spa products earlier this year (trying to save money by not having a monthly required expense to stay active with the company), I needed a new eye makeup remover option. I had made my own once upon a time, but even though it worked pretty okay, I decided it wasn't my favorite. I wanted to try to remain on the less toxic side of product use, so I consulted Etsy and found this option, which was within my budget and didn't contain all the big long chemical words I couldn't pronounce. I ordered it and have used it for a couple of weeks now, and I am calling it a winner! It doesn't make my eyes burn, it doesn't make my skin greasy, and it does take off the makeup completely - without scrubbing! (AND IT'S ON SALE RIGHT NOW!) If you're looking for a new option yourself, give it a try!

I haven't officially made my goals for 2020 yet, but I have been considering really working on verse memorization, because it's an area where I have historically been very weak. I generally know what a lot of verses say and absolutely know enough to look them up quickly, but I know I need to be more diligent about complete memorization. I found this post of 100 verses to memorize, and apparently the verses are based on a book by Robert J. Morgan. I've not read this book, but I'm familiar with him as an author and can imagine the book is well done. The post, though, has a printable list of the verses themselves if you want to give it a try in 2020!
Five.
I'm adding this one mostly for my sister, who takes care of my great-niece, and they're entering the simple craft stage of life. There are some cute Christmas crafts here, some of which are simple enough to do with pretty young kids. Even though I'm putting it here for her, feel free to eavesdrop and use as you need, too! (Hey Lori! The last one's my favorite.)

I close with a link to this article that one of my friends shared recently. She just lost her father a few weeks ago. I say this because several of you have been so kind to tell us that you're thinking of us this year as we face our first round of holiday traditions without Ryan's mom here with us. We appreciate that so very much. Your words and the thoughts behind them make us feel so very loved. We can honestly say that we are doing well in our souls right now. We miss her and we know that when we walk into some of those celebrations where she always was, we might feel waves of pain that we didn't see coming. But we have such a wealth of really beautiful memories to pull from, and we are grateful for that. We know there are so many more whose pain is much more recent and unexpected. People who never got to say all the things before goodbye arrived. regardless of the stories that led to the pain, we recognize the hurt and we think the words of this article say it well.
