One.
You know I love a good party theme and ice cream. So an ice cream sandwich themed party for the 4th of July? OH YES! And this isn't talking about buying a box of ice cream sandwiches and throwing them in a cooler. It's talking about a buffet of cookies and ice cream for your guests to make their own sandwiches. I'm ready right now!
Two.
This week, Anne over at Anne In Residence did an update on her progress of her 19 in 2019 goal list. I realize it's almost July, so probably none of you are really thinking about goals for the year, but I think a 20 in 2020 goal list would be a lot of fun, and I also think there's no time like the present to start brainstorming the list. Just an idea in case you want to start thinking of a list for yourself!
Three.
Charcuterie boards (you know...with all the meat and cheese?) fascinate me. I actually follow an Instagrammer who posts all about them. She makes tons of them and no two are ever alike. I tried to make a fruit board once and make it look all fancy. I think it showed that it was my first try. LOL!! But I found this post (which, granted, is a bit heavy on the "sponsored post" side) that shows a really cute fruit/cheese/cracker/nut board that is both adorable and normal. (So if you have picky kids...or husbands...or friends...everything on this board is stuff they should be familiar with and might even like!) If you need a last minute idea for Father's Day or an upcoming potluck, this might be the winner!
Four.
I am not great at memorizing from the page. I've told you that before. Now, I can quote large chunks of TV shows without pausing, so memorizing from repeated listening seems to work well for me. But I found this post with advice on how to memorize sections of Scripture from the page. I haven't tried it yet, but I find the idea extremely intriguing. I still imagine that for me, an audio Bible would be the fastest way to memorize. But this might work, too! (I'm also accepting other tricks to memorization if you happen to have any that have worked for you!)
Five.
One of my friends vacations at the same lake location every year, and he and his daughter have had a longstanding tradition of searching for sea glass. He would always come back from vacation with a new stash of really beautiful pieces, and he kept them all in a jar. I stumbled upon this article this week that tells some of the best beaches in the world for finding sea glass. (Spoiler alert: none are in Indiana. HA!) I also learned quite a bit from reading through this - about the colors that are hard to find and what generally makes a beach a good option for having success in finding treasures. An interesting little read!
Six.
I may be putting this one on here more for myself than for anyone else. I confess I'm not always very *ahem* consistent about cleaning out my makeup brushes. You know how it goes: you put on your makeup in a hurry, so you just put the brushes back, and then you don't think about them again until the next day when you put on your makeup (also in a hurry) and alas, it never gets done. Fail. Found a post with a couple of concoctions for cleaning your brushes. If you're in my forget-to-clean-them boat, check it out!

The ice cream bar is a cool idea but I could do not it outside. The pictures on the site are Pinterest perfect but reality would have to consist of some uninvited small flying icky insects joining the party (at least in my neck of the woods). I think it's a great idea to do inside.
Maria - LOL! I hadn't even thought about that!! TRUTH!!!!!!! I would prefer inside for the a/c factor, so I'll join you in that. I'm all about preserving the ice cream - whatever it takes.
I love beach glass!!
Check out Sonny_loves_charlie on IG - she has AMAZING platter boards!!
I really liked that beach glass article. I’ve never looked for it or found any before. That was very interesting!
On the charcuterie board, I’m not sure I would put sweet pickles next two strawberries… LOL! But I guess it wouldn’t be too bad since they’re not dill pickles!
Oops! Didn’t mean to be anonymous!
Tamar - I will look her up on IG right now!
Tracy - I thought it was really interesting too! I knew things about sea glass in general, but I learned a lot from that article. HA! I hadn't thought about the pickles and strawberries. Maybe it's like a pickles and ice cream thing and it works? (I actually like dill pickles and ice cream. Not like mixed together, but eaten at the same time. And no, I'm not pregnant.)
