Currently

Didn't Ryan do a great job finishing out yesterday's blog?? I really appreciated him stepping in and taking over while I was out of internet commission. And I've told him he can take that on every week if he wants! Don't hold your breath!!!

I decided to do a fun post today because I feared I would be {appropriately and pleasantly} exhausted from speaking this weekend, so I'll come back to filling you in on the weekend tomorrow! Spoiler alert: IT WAS A GREAT WEEKEND!!!

Meanwhile...

I got this post idea from Sarah's blog, and I thought it would be a fun way to start the week. It's just called currently...so without further ado, I am currently....

Reading a book by Dutch Sheets called Intercessory Prayer. Not a light read, by any means, but hopefully one that will show me new insights on how to pray effectively!

Playing catch-up from being gone for three days. Whew!

Watching America's Got Talent. {Well, I'm not ACTUALLY watching it at this very moment. But we love that show and have many favorites in this week's final!}

Trying to learn how to find the best balance in maintaining my weight loss. I have reached the point where my body seems to just be at its natural best, so I'm working to learn how to include treats without overindulging.

Cooking healthier versions of my favorite things. Last week I found a healthy zucchini bread recipe. It is delicious!

Eating one of my new favorite snacks: peanuts with a few chocolate chips sprinkled in. It keeps me away from Snickers bars. :)

Drinking coffee. Did you really expect anything else??

Calling no one, really. Now that I don't commute, I rarely talk on the phone. I do call my mom occasionally, but I'm pretty much an exclusive texter now.

Texting all the people. Ryan makes fun of me because on our phone plan, I win every month on most texts sent. No shame in that. I do love me some texting.

Pinning all my dreams to secret boards. When I get brave, I make them public boards. I'm so twelve.

Tweeting a link to my blog every day. Of all the social media platforms, Twitter is my least favorite. I've made it more my "business" platform, using it to link to my blog rather than tweet about real life.

Going to my office every single day to work makes me so happy. Though there are definitely sacrifices about being a single-income family, we know our decision for me to leave full time work has been a great one for us.

Loving the chance to take a walk with Ryan almost every day. I've declared we should do it all winter long unless roads are covered with snow.

Discovering that it still 100% freaks me out to deliver a new book into unknown hands. Exciting, for sure, but so scary.

Thinking about all God did at our retreat this weekend and how grateful I am to have enjoyed a front row seat to see Him work!

Feeling pleasantly pooped after a weekend away. This retreat material took a lot out of me, but there is no better feeling than knowing I did what I was called to do.

Hoping to have the opportunity to share more and more in 2017...praying for God to open new doors for speaking and writing!

Listening to my noise machine. It's set on tropical sounds. Smile.

Celebrating the return of fall! One of my favorite seasons for weather, scents, and decorating.

Smelling fall spices. Just ordered a bunch of fall-ish essential oils so I can diffuse them!

Ordering nothing this week! I'm done ordered out! See above!

Thanking the Lord for providing in wild ways for this past weekend's retreat. Three days before it began, the venue experienced an accident which killed the power and water so completely that they had to back out of hosting us. God provided a new facility within about 18 hours!

Considering scrapbooking today. Just to give myself a day off.

Starting a new scrapbook of our trip to Kansas for Cassie's wedding.

Finishing another cup of coffee, of course. BRAEYA! BRING ME A NEW ONE!!!!

Have y'all tried the cucumber scare tactic on Braeya? The cat and cucumber videos crack me up.
