One.
I don't normally post quotes in the Saturday Six, but this one hit me, and I wanted to share it. I read it on Twitter...and the quote is by our pastor, Steve DeNeff: If you want to be relevant, you must say things that are eternal...not cool. This is a HUGE belief of mine when writing. I see a lot of books that scream "I'm cool!! Read me!!" But {perhaps because I'm an old soul...} I find myself drawn instead to the books that will still be relevant in fifty years. And the ones that fall into that category are the ones that find words that hunt for eternity over trendy. It's a great reminder, whether we are speaking or writing.

Who misses new episodes of Fixer Upper?? ME!!! ME!!!! I loved this article I found this week with some trivia about our favorite couple of HGTV: Chip and Joann!
Three.
Another song I am absolutely loving right now...have you heard it? The new one from Mercy Me called Flawless.
Four.
This one might be slightly out of our budget, with a listing price of 12.5 million dollars, but if you're in the market for a new home, I read that Paula Deen's home is on the market. With all eight garages and such...sigh....
Five.
So appreciate this post by Courtney Walsh this week. As I prepare for the next season of my life, which is in many ways a huge leap of faith for me {for us}, it's important for me to remember that if and when things appear to unravel, God is bigger than any unraveling.

I consider Chelsea my friend, even though I've never met her in real life. Her parents were my youth pastors when I was an awkward high school student and they were newlyweds in college. Five years ago, when I was healing from lost love, they opened their Wisconsin home to me for rest and recovery. Chelsea was away at school then, and I didn't get to meet her. But I've met her through her blog and all the beautiful pictures she posts...and I'm excited for her that she's opened an Etsy shop to sell her hand lettered notecards. She's selling the first 24 sets of each design at 50% off {12.50 each} and she has 5 designs to choose from. Proud of you, Chelsea, for sharing your vision!
