"On Mid-Morning"

Wednesday we had a big fall book giveaway on Mid-Morning. It was my first time to work this kind of show, and it was fun. Partly, it was fun because I got to spend the show in the studio with Lynne instead of engineering. It was so weird for the show to start...and I was just sitting there hanging out!

So here was the left side of my seat for the show...
And the right side....

And Lynne's side...

The show was much fun. We took calls and gave away books left and right - and in TRUE Bekah fashion, I had a first-class idiot moment. (That was my third such moment in three straight days. Lovely.) I mixed up a couple of names and when I realized what I did, I announced "BRILLIANT, PARTY OF ONE!" right there on the air. Such class and finesse.

That led Lynne to share our little joke...so if you missed it, here it is.

A few weeks ago, she had a bad cold and you know how it goes with colds. Between the head fog created by the cold itself and the fog of the meds...you say some interesting stuff.

We were discussing some guests to schedule, and she said to me, "Yeah go ahead and schedule that," (pause, pause, pause) "On Mid-Morning."

I just looked at her for a minute and then said, somewhat hesitantly, "Um, yeah...Mid-Morning is our show."

So now it's our joke. Whenever one of us says stupid things, the other will say, "On Mid-Morning."

She also coerced me into "singing" with her on the air. A real treat.

But duh moments...singing...and all, this lady is a class act and I love working with her:

And she understands the need for scrappable moments and embraces my inner photo shoots.

On Mid-Morning.
