Good Old 14A

Lori, I did that just for you. :)

I cannot tell you how HAPPY I am to see the sun peeking up over the side of the building outside my window! I was getting pretty weary of rain and had hoped for this beautiful first day of spring, we'd get to see the sun even for a second. Not being one who watches weather forecasts, I have no idea if it plans to stay for the entire day, but I'm glad it showed up for the occasion.

So happy first day of spring...and for those of you who are confused about the Good Old 14A title, that's a line from an Andy Griffith show. The choir was singing the song "Welcome Sweet Springtime" - and Barney couldn't sing on key. But he was so excited to be in the choir that he wanted to keep practicing the song, which was number "Good Old 14A."

Lori and I are Andy fans...and once upon a time faced off in an Andy Trivia game.

I lost.

Badly.

Glad you're getting some sunshine. We could use the rain out here.

I had to quit pulling weeds outside because I could feel a sunburn starting on my shoulder. Now the ground is too dry, so I have to water again and let it soak in and get from muddy back to damp before I tackle the rest (with my shoulders covered).

Ohhhh to be able to get a sunburn. Someday. Someday. :)

I hear that we're in for a c-o-l-d weekend, which should be SO festive on Sunday when I wear my new Easter outfit...that is sleeveless...with strappy shoes...SUPER. And you can know I'm just stubborn enough to wear it anyway.

Yes, you would be that stubborn.

We're just hoping we don't get rain on Easter. Last year it poured on our special 7:00am outdoor Easter service, and the brave souls (not me, of course) toughed it out under umbrellas (which we tend to not be able to find when we need them). Anyway, we're hoping for NOT a repeat of that.
