Road Trip!!

I'm behind on pictures...how did this happen? This is from my trip to Frankenmuth right after Thanksgiving. It was my first time ever to go to Frankenmuth, and I've decided I must go back. With shorter shoes. I wore my however many inch heels and by the end of the day, I was ready to amputate both feet. I wanted to take off my shoes just for a minute, but I was afraid I might never get them back on.
So this was the official photo of the day - with Lynnette. She's stuck by me since I was a fifth grader. That is true friendship! I had a blast spending the weekend with her and her husband - just shopping the time away!

LOL - Sorry I should have been more specific. Frankenmuth is in Michigan. It took us about three hours to get there - and we left from Ft. Wayne. It's a Christmas City. Kind of Shipshewana/Brown Countyish with all these little shops, but then they have a HUGE store that is all Christmas stuff. It's about the size of a Wal-mart. It was amazing.

Yep - we've been friends forever - although not as long as WE have been friends!

How is Dawn?

You would love it. And it's TASTEFUL Christmas - not Griswold Christmas like your contest. (By the way - you have ispired me to go driving around looking at lights with one of my friends. I think I'll take pictures of the best and worst.)

Make sure you check out the house next to ours on 5th Street. If he has it finished, it definitely would qualify as a Griswold house! We didn't even bother to comepete with him. He even staples the lights to his house!

Sounds fun. I have never been to Frankenmuth (though I am from MI and have heard much about it.)

Is that where they have that big Christmas store?

Yep that's the place. And can I just say once again(since you are from Michigian and brought that up) - you all have the strangest road rules up there!!!

At least we know how to drive in the snow!

Amy - GREAT point you have. I can't even do that in Indiana!! And I have been in Michigan (as a passenger of a native) during the winter before and do know that is very true!

I'm going to try to come back over to your blog and leave a comment. Earlier it wouldn't let me. Maybe it will now.
