The Saturday Six

 

One.

Reportedly the Hallmark Christmas in July movies begin on June 25th, and they suggested making these cookies to accompany the viewing. They look so tasty! (Also, I'm here for all the movies. And the Olympics. How am I going to fit in working with all this?) 

Two.

I'm sharing/saving this one partly for us and partly for you! I found it on another blog this week and thought it had some great ideas for apps if you're planning to be out and about much this summer. Most of these options are free, and those with a cost are fairly minimal. You might find a good treasure in here! 

Three.

Tis the season for roasting marshmallows and hot dogs, and we love that just as much as the next person! But I happened upon this article of other things to roast that are a bit on the healthier side. I never would have thought of some of these! 

Four.

I did not know having your roof cleaned was even a thing. Did you know this? Have you had it done? 

Five.

I am pretty sure I missed this post when it originally went up, but it was back around the time of Allen's funeral when we were driving back and forth every day and so, so, so tired. But I love this idea and am thinking it could maybe work here in our WillowBridge apartment! I'm trying to incorporate more plants into our space, but our windows are so minimal and they're all office-sized. (WillowBridge is a repurposed office building if you didn't know that.) I don't have enough tall pieces of furniture to boost my plants to the height of our windows, but with this, it could work! 

Six.

I think this blogger has nicer thrift stores near her than the ones I'm used to visiting, but now that I live near a larger city, maybe I can find better gems! She gives good advice here.
