65 Months, Showers, and Parties!

In lieu of party pictures (today) I am offering you Ryan's rendition of how he did this ah-mazing party! Peek behind the scenes at his mad skills!

It's another catch-up kind of day here on the old blogaroo. So much has been happening, but I didn't get to tell you about it in the middle of all the I Choose You posts!

So here are a few glimpses of the things I missed telling you about!

First, Ryan and I celebrated our 65th monthiversary! You know how I feel about giving those the recognition they deserve! It was "just a normal work day" for us, but we squeezed in a little fun! (And I didn't know at the time that Ryan was totally preoccupied with the party.)
(I told him I feel like I look forty in this one! I blame the sun and the furrowed brow.)

We are participating in a choir program at our church (well, Ryan is) and there was a meeting for it that night, so we went to that! Sneaky choir selfie!
And on the way home? Coffee date!
We had a fun day, even if it was a busy day!

Now don't get scared by the "showers" part of the post. BABY showers!! :) Ryan's sister is having a baby this summer, and her baby shower bash was the last Sunday in April! Rather than doing a bunch of little showers with a bunch of different groups, they did one big party! And it was fun! Here are a few pictures from that day!

SUPER cute decorations. As you can see, Ryan's family does parties very well!
Ryan and Aunt Ruthie Woo Hoo!
We selfied this with the big camera. I was pretty impressed with us!
 This is one loved baby!
 Bre and Andrew! :)
Ryan had a camera too. :)
So that was a fun day!! :)

And then this past weekend, in addition to my party, our niece had a birthday party too! You guys, I took over six hundred pictures at that party. It was insane. I will keep my ones below pretty brief and generic because there were kids there I don't know, but it was a fun party!!!

So basically we have eaten a lot of cake in the last week! But it has been oh so much fun!

Six hundred pictures- IMPRESSIVE!!! Someone from Ryan's family should start a party planning business (maybe Ryan given his surprise party planning skills).

Thanks, ladies!! Maria, Ryan said he can't handle the anxiety of party planning. LOL!! I still think he's great at it!

I think the highest sign of Ryan's love for you is that he joined Pinterest for this! Ha! I think the best part of this party is how intentional he was about it.

I also love how intentional Ryan was about documenting this for you because we all know that the reliving (and scrapbooking about) it afterwards will be a HUGE highlight for you Bekah! Both the photographer and the photo booth are amazing ideas.

Thank you so much for sharing all your insights and stories. Your last words about "everything there is a season" provided some MUCH NEEDED perspective for me today, so this was a well-timed podcast.
