Happy Sunday!!! I read a meme on Facebook this week that said it must surely be January 74th by now. It did kind of feel like a long month - at least here! On the last day of the month, I thought back to New Year's Eve, and it felt much longer ago than a mere month! So welcome, February! The good news? It will definitely be shorter!
* We took it easy last Sunday. Much rest, much coffee, much of nothing. (Much needed, for Ryan!) The worst part of the day was our decision to have popcorn for dinner. We learned that is not a dinner for this girl. I was so grumpy the rest of the night. Popcorn = snack. I should have mentioned that in the things I learned in January.
* By Monday, I felt ready to venture forth on a real treadmill run again. My first since getting sick a couple of weeks before. I'd lost some ground in time and endurance, but I did a 5K without dying! Also on Monday, Ryan and I wrapped up our reading of Genesis in our read-through-the-Bible-in-a-year adventure. That marked the second big book we finished in one month! Other than these accomplishments, it was just a normal day, filled with chores and naps. (Okay that last part was just for Braeya.)
* Tuesday evening marked the return of small groups for us, and right when we went to make the coffee, we discovered we had run out of coffee. How did this happen? This has never happened to us before. Even all our backup coffee stashes were gone. We had to breathe into brown paper bags. LOL! (And I put this sign by our coffee pot, but then I decided that wasn't too welcoming, so I took it away before our guests arrived.) One good thing about the return to small group? We hung up the new signs we had for our kitchen! So many chores get done when it's time for company.
* I had a guest on Wednesday! My friend Jessica passed through town and stopped to visit Braeya and me! It was fun to see her. :) Then Ryan surprised me with lunch out, which was one of my favorite dates this week! (We look pitiful in this picture, but we were having fun!) And I bought emergency replacement coffee, which didn't turn out to be all that great, but it was better than nothing.
* Thursday = more running. (I also ran some days in between, but I didn't document it.) I was actually improving toward the end of the week! Once we got home for the night, it was a lazy little night. Cookie bar baking for me and glaring at the camera for Braeya.
* Friday was our monthiversary! 62 months, baby! We were really blessed to have some David Phelps concert tickets gifted to us, so we had an out-of-town date night! I will have to tell you more about it, but it was really fun! (Even Ryan liked it!)
* Ryan had to work yesterday, and then we had errand running night! Coffee date, book scouring at Sam's Club, and our first ever visit to Ollie's! Oh. My. Word. I wanted to buy all the books. I'm going to have to go back there...but I'm also going to have to set a budget!

Yay for being back to running!
Maybe you didn't eat enough popcorn for your popcorn dinner night? I eat popcorn for dinner at least once a month- since it's dinner, I use that as an excuse to eat copious amounts of it :). YES, for guests coming over being an impetus to get all the chores done around the house!!
