One.
One of my goals for this year is to work on organizing, simplifying, and restructuring our lives a bit. I thought it would help me be accountable and maybe help you do the same if I threw out a challenge every week {until I run out of ideas} of something little you can work on to organize your life and home! You can do all of them with me, some of them, or none of them! So here you go...first one!
PHONE PHOTO ORGANIZATION CHALLENGE: My phone is FULL of photos, and I fear if it were to crash, I'd lose a few that are precious to me. I'm also sure there are dozens in there that I'm done with and just need to delete. So this week's challenge is...take some time while you're watching TV, waiting at the doctor's office, or riding along in the car to go through your phone, delete unnecessary photos, and back up the ones you couldn't bear to lose. Start out the new year with a cleaned up phone and space to capture new memories!

I absolutely adore this checklist from Holley Gerth - about making decisions for the future. I think it's an excellent guide, and I have already been thinking through it for some decisions we're making for our own future!!
Three.
YES. THIS!!!! This article from Andrea Lucado hits the mark, in my opinion. Sure, we love clean starts {and I'm in the crowd that so does...} but my goodness...let's not discount the messes that made us who we are - and will continue to do so even more than we can see today.

Since the cold air has settled over our region again {oh how I loved our warm December!!!} I feel compelled to tell you about one of the Christmas gifts my mother-in-law gave me. It's an electric blanket - but not like for the bed. It's a throw. A warm, fleecy, soft throw that is electric. It is revolutionizing our couch time. And it's possible Braeya has adopted it for herself as well. This is going to be my best friend on the cold winter nights, I have a feeling!
Five.
For those of you looking for healthy recipes for the new year, I strongly suggest pretty much ANYTHING by Katie Farrel at the Dashing Dish. Some of her recipes are membership-only, but a monthly membership is only $5.00 and worth it in my opinion. But this recipe is open to anyone and I've been eating it for the last week. SO GOOD. Breakfast tacos! I make 3 ahead of time, wrap them in foil, and then grab and go each morning. I warm them up, add some salsa, and eat. Pretty filling and very fast.

Is anyone else as beyond-excited as I am that FIXER UPPER'S NEW SEASON STARTS THIS WEEK???????? {Enough question marks to convey my excitement???????????????}

I'm excited about your weekly organizing challenges and have already started culling the photos on our iPad.
I could really use that electric blanket throw. It looks really cozy!
And those breakfast tacos look really good. I might just have to try those sometime. Yum!
FYI, I just finished going through all the pictures on our iPad and wrote a post about it for this coming Friday, with a shout out to you. Thanks for this!
