Olivia lives in New York, so when she's in town, she has to cram a whole lot into one day. And when she was here this past weekend, she managed to squeeze in two baby showers {where she was the guest of honor} AND she attended a wedding and a going away party I was tired just hearing about it! And she's the pregnant one!
I had the privilege to attend both showers, and I have to show you pictures from this second one too, because it was so stinkin' CUTE!!
This shower included friends she went to high school and college with...and it was held in the home of one of her friends. It's a grand old home in a historic section of town, and I was absolutely MESMERIZED by how beautiful it was and how cute her decorating style was!!!
The theme here, much like her first shower, was also a cow theme...and the shower was a milk and cookies shower. How Pinteresty is this picture???
Cow plates and napkins...four kinds of cookies, three milk flavors and mason jars to drink from - with cow printed paper straws. I felt so very trendy.
The guest book was so cute...farm puzzles, and we were to write a note to baby on the back....
OH how I wish I could show you pictures of this one game we played, and you all know there's not much I won't put on this blogaroo, but even I reached my limit!! We had to partner up, and one half or the team {that would be yours truly} had to stuff a balloon under her shirt and waddle across the room while holding a ping-pong ball between her knees and then "give birth" to the ping-pong ball into a vase.
The very SIGHT of me with that balloon under my shirt was hysterical. And scary. SO much so, that I just cannot show you. But it happened. I dropped my ping-pong ball several times as I waddled, but I gave birth into the vase on the first try, thankyouverymuch.
Then my partner had to put on a blindfold, make her way to an ottoman, and diaper a baby doll.
I should have mentioned that we were playing for Starbucks cards. And it just so happens that Payge, Olivia's sister {and my partner} and I are both coffee-holics, so um YEAH we won!!!!
You can't see it in this picture, but Payge actually also got the baby doll's ARMS securely inside the diaper. LOL!!!
After the games we had our little treat time...a close-up of the mason jars and paper straws.
Oh...and Cow Tales. Appropriate candy for the shower. :)
My gift for THIS shower was another Pinterest find...onesie frappes. I'm not gonna lie to you - these are SO STINKIN' cute. Frappe cups filled with an organized roll of onesies, cloth diapers, washcloths, and socks on top for the cherry.
Olivia and I began our friendship almost ten years ago by meeting at a coffee shop every week for mentoring meetings, so it seemed an appropriate gift to offer.
One last pic with my girl before she headed back home! Next time I see her, I get to hold a snuggly baby girl!
{More happened at the shower than this, but I actually had to leave after an hour, because...Ryan surprised me with a DATE!!!! Come back tomorrow for more on that!}
