But this summer has been so {blissfully!} busy that Ryan and I have not made it up to the lake one single time. Sad.ness.
So last week, on Monday, we made what might qualify as the world's fastest trip over to the Mississinewa Lake to visit one of our friends and his family for the evening.
I have to tell you...without GPS...we'd still be looking for this place.
We found their campsite, and they were just setting up this ladder ball game. Now you all know me and games. I'm not great at them. But I did score seven points, and I'm proud of every single one of them, thankyouverymuch.
After I lost that game {hey, I'll admit defeat!}, we went out on the boat for a little bit so Ryan could wakeboard and ski.
And I could take pictures. Well. After he took one first.
It's a wee bit windy when the boat's going really fast. :)
THEN he got in the water.
That's talent. One handed AND smiling for the camera.
I was a bit shutter happy.
And he was a bit daring with his tricks. We thought he was going down a few times, but he did NOT!
Because, you know. He's the pro!
He hadn't been on a wakeboard in a long time, but as he said, "Just like riding a bike." {Which is why I should stay off the wakeboard. I have a bad track record with bikes.}
He did finally take a tumble...so he switched to the slalom skiing event.
And he rocked that one too!
What a great evening!!! And after a few {dozen} wrong turns at the bidding of our liar liar pants on fire GPS, Chloe, we DID make it out of the maze and back home!

oh my goodness that looks so fun! at least the in the boat part, but Ryan is a crazy man!!!
I loved hearing you on the early morning guys part today on the radio. So so funny. The ice cream being a fruit thing... loved. I really would love it if you got to talk to Dr. Ann! I love your heart and your tastes! You said you liked elephant ears, right? oh heavens. Fried Dough with cinnamon and sugar i am pretty sure is what they serve for breakfast in heaven, yes? hope so.
XOXO
oh and do you ever talk to sheryl? mom told me she wasn't working there any more? :( i know she adored you so i hope you girls can keep in touch!! XOXO
So glad you got a kick out of the fruit ice cream thing. It's TRUE!! Pretty sure I'd fail significantly when paired up with Dr. Ann. But if I"m going to fail, I might as well do it significantly and then it's well-done!! :)
YES. Elephant ears for a heavenly breakfast. With NO weight gain.
And yes I do get to chat with her now and then! I MISS HER!!!!!
