Well...So Much for Spring

It's just such a tease to get a gorgeous day like we had Saturday...and then...the return of the wintry mix.
It's not nice.

Not one bit.

Let me just give you a recap of yesterday.

* It was President's Day, so some of you might have enjoyed a day off work. Not so much for me. I not only went to work, but it was a HUGE visit day on campus because so many schools were out for the day. That meant I had to dress up...and I elected to wear an actual skirt, because, you know, spring is coming.

* When I left for lunch, I had a little Marilyn Monroe situation going on that very nearly gave a free show to all of Shatford Hall.

* While home for lunch, I changed into pants.

* On my way back in from lunch, my umbrella blew inside out. (My heavy duty umbrella that has NEVER blown inside out.) Fortunately, Greg from my office was leaving for lunch at that very moment, took pity on me, and drove me up to the door.

* By quitting time, the rain had turned to this:
And this is how I felt about the workout that resulted from just getting INTO my car.

But I will say this for ice: great photo opps.

Pretty on trees. As long as branches stay far far from power lines.

Because my desire to have a Little House on the Prairie moment passed after Snowmageddon.
Please don't tell anyone this next part because you know how I feel about daylight savings...

(in case you're new here...I abhor daylight savings)

But the whole idea of longer evenings for things like photo opps...

...is kind of appealing.

But if you quote me, I'll deny ever saying it.

Your ice pictures are gorgeous, but I must admit that my favorite pic of this post is you in your car! :)

LOL My mom said the same thing!I emailed her all the pics and she said she liked one of the ice ones and then she said, "No....really the one of you."

I should mention I was also parked in the FARTHEST possible parking spot from my building, so first I'd had to trek all the way to my car before beginning to chisel...

I was grateful to have my gloves. Rachel did not. Sadness.

Melanie - It was NOT fun (to scrape)! So pretty to look at. I'm so glad you stopped by. Please know that on general days I don't look so scary. :)

The sixth picture looked as if you could milk it...

Is your photography for recreational purposes only?

But nice pics!

LOVED the picture of you...you surely made me laugh...mainly because I have had that look before (ok, kj, many times before). You are one brave cookie and should be proud you have survived this winter. Here along the river we are expecting flash floods which will be followed by the river rising even more than it is now. It's always somethin....

Chris - You are GOOD. I even triple checked the pics looking for anything questionable and totally missed that! But I got a great laugh out of it. LOL!!!!!!!!!

Barb - I am d-o-n-e with this winter. (And when I start spelling, it's serious business.) Please hurry sweet spring!!!
