My first date with my college boyfriend was to Taco Bell. It was a last minute decision and we didn't have much time, so it may also qualify for the fastest date in history. But you know what?
I loved it.
I don't need dates at $50 per plate restaurants. I'm perfectly happy with coffee houses or ice cream...or Taco Bell!
Having said that...I just have to say...
ARE YOU KIDDING ME????

I too, am a cheap date. But surely that's a joke.
Surely...
I once had a friend who would tell guys she insisted on Shoney's for a first date...it took the pressure off. I think I like that idea!
Christina - I would hope so! But consider the town.... :)
Stephanie - I like that idea too! That's a great approach!
Ha...saw this driving down the bypass too. Told Brian...don't EVEN think about it!! :)
LOL - Considering I never darken the doors of White Castle, I can't imagine them being so full that reservations are required. :-)
Jaye - I know beggars can't be choosers, but still - um NO for me.
Stephanie - you are absolutely right. They haven't needed reservations since the grand opening hype ended.
Hey, White Castle for Valentine's Day? Way cool! Go through the Drive-Thru and head for home to light candles and have the paper plates ready. Wait for hubby who will have a couple of carnations in hand and fruit salad from a local salad bar for me. Then we will happily munch while we watch a romantic movie we rent. No dishes to wash, and cuddle time on the couch. Plus, minimum cost and no standing in line to eat at a restaurant. No need to find a sitter for my son who will think we are mushy. Now, if only we can get the dog off my lap....
